From the Ground Up: Understanding Community Challenges and Voter Concerns
The Alabama Black Voter Project
From the Ground Up is just one example of the innovative initiatives led by the BSWC. In response to the legacy of systemic challenges Black voters face in Alabama, From the Ground Up surveyed nearly 2,000 Black voters, uncovering critical insights into voter awareness, representation, and engagement. This project demonstrates the power of data-driven advocacy, education, and organizing to ensure Black voices are heard and represented.
Our work doesn’t stop at voter engagement. From reproductive justice to health care to housing organizing, BSWC initiatives address the most pressing issues impacting Black communities in the South.
